Each year the conference features an optional tour of Oahu landscapes and properties.   This year, the tour focuses on four properties in East Oahu including:

Sharon's Plants features 20 acres of plants, flowers and trees in Waimanalo.  Sharon started her passion of cultivating and hybridizing Bromeliads over twenty years ago and is acclaimed as a top hybridizer of Bromeliad Neoregelia.  See  the website for more information.

Koko Head Botanical Garden  In 1958, Koko Crater on the eastern side of O'ahu was set aside for development into a botanical garden.  Plant collections occupy sixty acres of the inner slopes and basin of this 200-acre crater.

This garden focuses on the cultivation of rare and endangered dryland plants.  Xeriscape concepts are used to transform this dry landscape into a garden where plants suitable to desert-like conditions can flourish.  Highlights include Hawaiian plants, African & Madagascan plants, cactus & succulent garden, plumeria grove, and dryland palms.  See the website for more information.

Contemporary Landscaping Nursery  Mark Fukui will demonstrate the impact of invasive species on products, invasives best management practices, he spoke about at the conference.

Native Farms is a wholesale nursery featuring native and ornamental plants.  To learn more, check out their Instagram posts.
